Trigger the Typewriter
Group exhibition with Blue Hour Studios, London
February 2024
Based around the infinite Monkey theorem, ‘Chimp and typewriter’. Taking place in Safehouse 2, a collection of post graduate artists and performers will be presented in an immersive exhibition. Designed by Izzy Frost and Ruby Walsleben, the space is transformed into a physical representation of ‘potential’. The showcased artists have closed the chapter of life that is making it through university, and have entered the start of professional life, learning how to navigate a creative career. The exhibition space represents the interim between ‘what was’ and ‘what will be’. Inspired by the stillness of feeling stuck in this transitionary period in combination with the constant movement required to break out of it, this liminal state of being can be better understood by precedent of the Chimp and its typewriter.
